What we collect

Aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics such as page views and referrers.
Email addresses you voluntarily provide when contacting the newsroom.
Account credentials for newsroom staff who sign in to publish.

What we do not do

We do not sell reader data. We do not require an account to read the news report, and we do not build advertising profiles of individual readers.

Confidential sources

Communications with reporters about potential stories are handled under our source protection practices. We do not disclose the identity of a confidential source, and we resist legal demands to do so.
